Party Planning

3-4 Weeks to Go

Choose from our great Themed Party supplies to suit the age of your child and friends.
Choose your location and if you want to book an entertainer, or have an activity such as bowling/swimming book well in advance.
Decide your start and finish time.
If the children are younger, a shorter party of 1 1/2 hours is usually better. This is best worked around feeding/nap times.
If the children are older, a 2-2 1/2 hour party works well.
If ordering cake or Helium Balloons place order in plenty of time.

2-3 Weeks to Go

Place your order with Princess Party Shop and have your party essentials delivered to your door.
Plan your Menu, checking any dietry requirements.
Send invitations, giving a date to RSVP by, as this makes it much easier for your planning.
Decide on activities/games to play.
It is always better to plan a few extra games in case you run out of activities before the party finishes.
Arrange for help from relatives/ friends. Depending on the age of the children, often parents will stay with their children.

1 Week to Go

Make any food you can ahead of time and place in the freezer.
Write a timing plan to give you a guide of running order.

2-3 Days to Go

Buy remaining food for the party.
Buy / check batteries for camera/ camcorder.
Chase up any unanswered invitations.
Put together your Party Bags or label Pre-Filled Party bags.
Check you have sufficient prizes/ sweets to hand out.

Day Before Party

Make any food ahead and place in the fridge, ie pizza dips cooked sausages etc.
Decorate your Cake if doing yourself.
Make sure you have all decorations, props you need such as:
• Dressing Up Clothes / props for Games
• Matches for lighting Cake
• Balloons
• Prizes/sweets
• Party Bags
• Collect cake Balloons if ordered
• Dig out the Camcorder/ camera
• If possible decorate your venue and ensure it is Child Proof ie cover sockets remove breakable items etc

PARTY DAY

Decorate your venue.
Display balloons / signs outside for people to find the party.
Prepare any food unable to prepare ahead / prepare drinks.
If you can, lay the table ahead of the party.
Remember to delegate!
